Following the Birmingham Photography show I met with lots of print companies both in the UK and Europe who produce quality prints on various papers/acrylics/alluminium.
I have received quotes from whitewall, photo box, 1click, OFMG, photo, GF Smith
I really loved the Acrylic prints – these sat well with me as the ones i saw were square format – the fact they look like glass replicated my project as most of the time I have sat in coffee shops waiting for the right characters.
It was almost like me looking out again.
The only concern with Acrylic is that it does fade the colour so i did a test print on Acrylic and noticed i needed to enhance the vibrance in photoshop so that it suited the print ad retained the correct level of colours. This work on second print.
As well as just settling with Acrylic I did print on board and also as a framed print, The framed print just didn’t fit with what how i want to present the work in 9 and the Matt board was lovely, but did look a little cheap. I kept going back to the acrylic and settled with this for my 9 images I will display for degree show. They are clean, perfectly square and hard wearing.
